Barack Obama will be attending the COP15 conference of December 9th, as well as one more date so far unannounced.

Do you actually believe it will accomplish any thing?
ReplyDeleteWell, yes, because of the new US government and their recent promise to reduce their greenhouse gas emission by 17% below 2005 levels by 2020 (a very inadequate number, yet it will mean that they will have peaked their emissions, which is a huge step). As well, the increasing public concern, media coverage, and developing worlds voice will hopefully pressure the leaders into a much more binding, serious, and important agreement in the very near future.
